Senior Spotlight: Rylen Pierce

As graduation draws near, we’re sitting down with the class of 2023 to talk about their time at Sioux Falls Lutheran School and what the future holds.

Name: Rylen Pierce

What are your plans after Sioux Falls Lutheran and/or goals for the future?
I plan on working. I haven't decided where yet, but I’d like to do something with welding.

Which classes, programs, and/or faculty at Sioux Falls Lutheran School do you feel played the biggest role in supporting your goals for the future?
I think the class that will help me the most in the future was personal finance, taught by Mr. Albers.

I could not live without…
My God, my family and friends, and also my bed.

What advice would you share with underclassmen at SFLS?
I would tell people to try in school. Throughout my four years I've realized that barely skimming by has made things a lot harder on me. I would also say make time for friends and family and don't take for granted amazing opportunities.

What is your favorite bible verse?
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” –Joshua 1:9
