SFLS Aims to Help World Sport Stacking Association Break Guinness World Record

On Thursday, Nov. 14, our K-8 students participated in Stack Up! The World Sport Stacking Association’s annual attempt to break the Guinness World Record for "Most People Sport Stacking at Multiple Locations in One Day."

Students at SFLS learn how to sport stack in PE. The activity engages both hemispheres of the brain and has many positive effects on young minds, including improved visual processing skills, hand-eye coordination, bilateral coordination, sequencing and patterning.

The 2018 Stack Up! record is 624,390 stackers from around the globe. The goal this year was to break that record and reach 635,000 stackers. Official stacker verification closes at 11:59 p.m. (MST) on Friday, Nov. 22. Track the 2019 stacker count online at www.thewssa.com/stackup/2019/.
